On September 16, 2014 I lost my mother. This was my first mother’s day without her so I wanted to do something special. My company Squeegee Monkey Window Washing in Durango, Colorado teamed up with other local businesses to give a wonderful gift to three deserving mothers. We made this video in honor of my mother but also to inspire people in Durango to do nice things. We also wanted everyone outside of Durango to know about our wonderful community and how we carry each other. When my mother died so suddenly, the community in which she was living came out from every direction to help. In some ways what we did that day was just an extension or recreation of the love and support we experienced in my hometown last fall.
